The Eastern Conference is just as exciting as the West. Teams represent the East Coast of the United States all the way to Canada. While the Western Conference sports one Canadian team, the east coast has a duo taste of Canada in their conference. The Toronto FC and the Montreal Impact are making some loud noise and much impact on the league. These few teams have been a light in the entire Major League Soccer franchise as the league continues to grow. Other teams such as the Orlando City SC, Philadelphia Union, New York City FC, and the Chicago Fire also look to raise the stakes of the league. MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER HISTORY

The MLS started in 1996 with only six teams. Not all teams have survived the opening season as the soccer league struggled to make money. The LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapid, DC United, The San Jose Clash, which are now known as the San Jose Earthquakes, Columbus Crew, Kansas City Wiz (which are now known as the Sporting Kansas City), the Dallas Burn which rebranded to the now FC Dallas, and the New England Revolution are the only surviving teams. The New York/New Jersey Metro stars are now the New York Red Bulls. The one team to completely dissolve was the Tampa Bay Mutiny, which left the league in 2001. The league had rebranded in the early 2000’s with many team name changes and production of more teams!  Another Florida based soccer club to leave the league was the Miami Fusion who only lasted a quick three years from 1998 to 2001. The first five years were a tough time as the league lost around 250 million dollars! While newly expanded teams such as Chicago Fire, Chivas Los Angeles (Which will soon be the Los Angeles Football Club) and the Real Salt Lake fought to stay above water, the league slowly grew! But now the league has survived by adding super stars such as David Beckham and Landon Donovan to the Los Angeles Club. A total of twenty teams now exist with more on the way in Atlanta and another L.A. based club. Minnesota and Miami should be adding two more franchises—the Major League Soccer world is growing - there's never been a better time to get your tickets!

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER FAN EXPERIENCE

The league is getting so big and these fans are getting so crazy! Time to get ready for some heart pounding non-stop soccer! The game is thrilling! It’s fast! It’s over before you want it to be. The world’s most famous sport is impacting the American audience finally! It’s hard to get your LA Galaxy tickets, United Tickets, Sounder Tickets, and so many more soccer tickets because MLS soccer tickets becoming more and more valuable! Fans all around the United States and Canada are joining the soccer culture. Be a part of this great soccer culture now!

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER FUN FACTS

Since 2007, Major League Soccer has welcomed the Canadian fan base with its first appointed expansion team Toronto FC. The league also welcomed franchises from Vancouver and Montreal with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in 2011, and the Montreal Impact in 2012. The inter-league play of Canada and United States has been an ongoing thing in North American Sports. The NFL is the only major professional sports league to not include a Canadian club. Toronto is the main reason for the other major sports involvement. Not only were they the first Canadian city to welcome a sports team in the MLS, they also have teams in the NBA and Major League Baseball with the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays. Both teams are the only surviving Canadian franchises in both the MLB and NBA. Obviously the NHL is the only other league to involve a high number of American and Canadian franchises.
